This week's prompt is kitchens. Because of summer and the abunance of fruit in my town, I decided to blog about smoothies, YUMMY! Growing up, my family would make smoothies as afternoon snack on hot summer days. I loved them! Below I've listed a few of my favorites that I found and are going to try this summer. A mix of healthy and fun, all the while being unique.

inspirational thursday!
I've linked up with Gussy Sews and have decided to participate in her inspirational workshop every Thursday. It's a community of creative bloggers that blog every Thursday about their inspiration in a topic that Gussy chooses. I thought it would be a fun exercise and opportunity to connect with other creative bloggers. It will also help to encourage me to blog because right now, my life is a bit crazy and unfortunately I have no time to sew.

original roma poster
This is a poster I made my junior year of college when I first started making roma bags. I printed off the photos I took of my roommates (what good sports they were!) wearing my bags. I drew on tracing paper, and sewed them all onto a piece of vinyl. Sort of messy but fun! It's neat to look back and reflect on roma, where it's been and where it's going.

I've joined a new online community called Pinterest. It's pretty awesome and definitely a time sucker, thousands of neat things to look at and find. It's a place where I can "pin" all the things I find online that are inspiring. Check out the link to the right called "inspirational board". I'm totally addicted.

{thankful thursdays}
I found this print from Jessica at Vol. 25 etsy shop. Her prints feel like daydreams with whimsical imagery and soft lovely colors.
This week I've been thankful for....
- Having the whole bed to myself (sort of). My husband is on a dude's snowboard trip this week. It's been 5 days now and the first 3 days I was greatful for the whole bed to myself, but now I'm missing his snuggles.
- My familie's love, support and encouragment to pursue my dreams.
- Slow cookers, I made Chicken Apple curry and it was delicious!
- Rain in town because that means snow in the mountians!!
- Daydreaming and listening to the rain fall on our tin roof
- This season of Lent

oh hello friend, DIY business cards
Danni at oh, hello friend is the master at packaging and graphics. I found these business cards that she made for Alt this winter. I love that it's a package deal with a business card, tack and wooden balloon detail. See does such a great job at paying attention to every detail. See more pictures here.

a little red ribbon
Check out this cute coin purses from Australian artist Gretel at a little red ribbon. I found her on esty. I totally love the linen, lace and pop lining. Her photography is also beautiful.

Feathers are everywhere right now (in the fashion world that is) and I thought this print from Groundwork was beautiful.
Being present is currently my focus. Check out Groundwork for more beauty.

Pretty pictures from here
business cards
I need to redesign my Roma business card. I have about 200 left over from a few years ago that I got made at Vista Prints. Vista did a great job but this time around, I'm looking for something more crafty. I am also going to need a hang tag, which I am still deciding on if the business card could do both. While I figure these things out, I'm just going to do a bit of inspiration research to see what others are doing with their business cards.
c.r.a.f.t. handmade these out of cereal boxes. I love the stamp, stitching and reusing the boxes. Realistically though, I think that would be too time consuming for me, but this is a great idea!
I love the pop stitching of the card behind 100 layer cake. It's from ready go, but this images if from oh, hello friend.
I love the simplicity of this card, complimented by the stitching and fabric. From Ruthi Auda
I realized all of these card are very similar...stitching, stamps, and brownish backgrounds. oops. I'll keep looking for more ideas.

Maranon jewelry
Tribal is currently a hot trend in high end fashion right now. It seems to be everywhere on Summer 2011 collections. I find the colors and patterns fresh and inspiring. When I came across spinthread on etsy, I had to share. All of her pieces are hand embroidered with colorful geometric shapes. I feel like if someone from NYC or L.A. found her, she would be an instant hit!

Hello!
Welcome to my Roma bags blog! So glad you could stop by.
I came across this image below at Elise Joy's etsy shop and it struck a cord in my heart. Why don't I just start? Why don't I go for it and and figure out what the purpose is later? Why do I always have to have a plan? Why not just purse this crafty creative energy of mine, even if it currently doesn't make sense?
So here I am.
I'm going to go for this.
Sounds like, feels like an exciting adventure.
Good thing I like adventures!
So welcome to my Roma bags blog where I'm going to post crafty inspirations and personal projects. Currently, I'm not sure the exact direction of this blog (as noted above) but it's going somewhere and I'm excited!
Enjoy!
